Boys Program at a glance....Our boys program is offered for all boys between the ages of 3 and 17. Our classes incorporate instruction on 6 events, including floor exercise (tumbling), pommel horse, still rings, vault, parallel bars, and high bar. Additionally, our classes include instruction on trampoline!Your son will build strength, stamina, coordination, flexibility, confidence and discipline in a fun filled atmosphere with some of the best equipment to be found on the state of Maryland!Making The Team ChoiceWe believe all of our athletes demonstrate a pattern of excellence in the way they train, interact with each other, and compete. As such, we have named our boys program (Paragon.)Depending on their level, our athletes can train from 1.5 to 25 hours a week. We have a program for every boy, regardless of skill level.Pre-TeamOur pre-team trains for 1.5 hours a week, on Wednesdays. Athletes are typically between the ages of 5 and 7, and move to team after 6-12 months.Level 4This is the introductory competitive level. Our athletes train 2x a week for 3 hours at a time on Tuesdays and Thursdays.They compete 4-5 times a year locally in MD, and typically have very low financial obligations. (Uniform, Meet Assessments, and Meet Entry Fees.)Level 5Our athletes train 3x a week for 3 hours on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. They compete 6-8 times a year throughout MD, PA, and VA, and typically have low financial obligations.Level 6 & 7Our athletes train 4x a week for 3 3.25 hours at a time on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. These athletes compete within MD, VA, WV, PA, NY, and NJ and typically have one travel meet (requiring flight or drive) in addition to their regular competitions.
Level 8,9, 10At the optional level we have junior high and high school athletes of differing abilities. Some athletes compete locally (MD, PA, VA, WV, NY, NJ) and others travel quite extensively. We offer programs for athletes who are actively trying to get into college gymnastics, and also for those who want a healthy junior high and high school competitive experience.Currently, we have one athlete who is part of the Junior National Developmental Team for USA Gymnastics.
Future StarsOur club participates in the Future Stars Program through USA Gymnastics.The Future Stars Program is an athlete development and education program. The Future Stars Program consists of five age groups 8-9 year olds, 10 year olds, 11 year olds, 12 year olds and 13 year olds, who perform selected skills and compulsory routines on the six mens events plus strength and flexibility evaluations. The 8-9 year old division participates up to the Regional level while the 10, 11, 12 and 13 year old divisions can qualify to the National level.
